While I was hoping to leave this weekend with a relatively intact and functioning house, we are in pretty good shape. There's a bit a of work to do before my Reach the Beach team arrives in 1.5 weeks, but the basics are in place. We now have all of the bedrooms set up and ready to go. Also, we should be getting gas heat within the month (if everything goes right). The gas stove intallation provided us with the opportunity to expand the scope of our projects. The gas company rep recommended that we remove the side walls of the brick surround for the stove. The fun part is deciding what to do to finish the edges (I am voting for a mantle-like piece).
Yes, there were more bears, we are being swarmed by mosquitos, and we still have this nasty rug, but it's coming into place!
