The first weekend

OK kids, here is the narrative to accompany the photos we've sent. It's a bit behind, but it's been a busy couple of weeks!

We closed on the house on Chandler Mountain Road on Friday May 30. On our first day, we celebrated with our realtor, Steve Anderson at Pinkham Real Estate and his family. As expected, their son immediately ran for the spiral stair case of doom to play. (no casualties, but our safety concerns were magnified!)

Our very first official rehab activity was to meet with our contractor, Tom, to finalize the work definition and estimate. New roof, new deck, clean out and re-insulate the crawl space, and completely gut and rehab the first floor bath. And that's just the start!

After our very expensive cup of coffee with Tom, we headed out for supplies. Our first priority is to cover up that blue trim and replace the light fixtures. We thought we'd take it easy on the first weekend and only do cheap, easy stuff. $450 later, we realized that nothing is going to be cheap or easy with this thing!
